Hello friends from Have You Been Here! I hope you are well! A couple of weeks ago I undertook a small trip with the women of my family to the coastal city of Pinamar, and today I am going to tell you about our experience traveling for the first time on the train that goes from the City of Buenos Aires to the Atlantic coast. !

Hola amigos de Have You Been Here! espero que se encuentre muy bien! hace un par de semanas emprendí un pequeño viaje con las mujeres de mi familia a la ciudad costera de Pinamar, y hoy voy a contarles como fue nuestra experiencia viajando por primera vez en el tren que va desde la Ciudad de Buenos Aires a la costa atlantica!

The tour began at the Constitucion station in the city of Buenos Aires. We bought the tickets through the official website of Argentine trains, so we took the printed tickets and simply presented them and entered the platform area where the train that would take us was located. In the event that you have not been able to print the ticket at the office they will print it for you at no cost! There is no problem, as long as you have the ticket and the ID.

El recorrido comenzó en la estacion Constitucion de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Nosotras compramos los pasajes por la pagina oficial de trenes argentinos, asi que llevamos los pasajes impresos y simplemente los presentamos y entramos a la zona de andenes donde se encontraba el tren que nos llevaria. En el caso de que no hayas podido imprimir el pasaje en la oficina te lo imprimen sin ningun costo! no hay ningun problema, siempre y cuando tengas el pasaje y el dni.

After four hours of travel on the first train, we reached the Divisadero de Gral Guido, to make the transfer. That train doesn't leave immediately so we all put our bags together and left the station to see what was there.

Tras cuatro horas de viaje en el primer tren llegamos al Divisadero de Gral Guido, a realizar el transbordo. Ese tren no sale inmediatamente asi que dejamos los bolsos todos juntos y salimos de la estacion a ver que habia.

When we left the station we made a block and when we looked around we saw that there was nothing haha, only fields and country houses of the people who live there. Tractors passed, trucks that transported fuel. And there was a person selling food like sandwiches and empanadas for the tourists who were there doing the one-hour transfer, totally hungry. They also sold hot water for the mates since the train surprisingly (and I say surprisingly because on the page of the passages it said otherwise ...) it did not have hot water!

Al salir de la estacion hicimos una cuadra y al mirar a nuestro alrededor vimos que no habia nada jaja tan solo campo y casas de campo de gente que vive allí. Pasaban tractores, camiones que trasportaban combustibles. Y habia una persona vendiendo comida como sanguches y empanadas para los turistas que estabamos ahi haciendo el transbordo de una hora totalmente hambrientos. Ademas vendian agua caliente para los mates ya que el tren sospresivamente ( y digo sospresivamente porque en la pagina de los pasajes decia lo contrario...) no tenia agua caliente!

What gave life and joy to the tourists was this friendly little pig who came up asking for food scraps! There were also dogs, but of course this particular pet caught all the eyes of us "porteños" who are far removed from field animals

Lo que le dió vida y alegria a los turistas fue éste amigable cerdito que se acercaba pidiendo sobras de comida! tambien habia perros, pero por supuesto que ésta particular mascotita se llevó todas las miradas de nosotros los "porteños" que estamos muy alejados de los animales de campo.

Finally, after an hour and a half of waiting, the train for the last section arrived, the trip was super quiet. We took mates and our faces began to fill with eagerness to know that we were close to seeing the sea ♥ Upon arriving at the Pinamar train station we took a bus that would leave us one block from the apartment we rented. We absolutely all took that transport! the trip was only 15 minutes in which we went along the route and ended up in the center of the city.

Finalmente tras una hora y media de espera el tren del ultimo tramo llegó, el viaje fue super tranquilo. Tomamos mates y ya se nos comenzó a llenar la cara de ansias por saber que estabamos proximas a ver el mar ♥ Al llegar a la estacion de trenes de Pinamar nos tomamos un autobus que nos dejaria a una cuadra del departamento que alquilamos. Absolutamente todos nos tomamos ese transporte! el viaje fue de tan solo 15 minutos en el cual fuimos por la ruta y desembocamos en el centro de la ciudad.

and that was it! In total the trip, counting the transfer in Gral Guido and the bus trip was 8 hours. Double the time it takes to go by bus or car. But the money difference is ABISMAL. The bus cost 3,200 Argentine pesos, about 18 dollars, and the train cost only 700 Argentine pesos, something like 4 dollars.

y eso fue todo! en total el viaje, contando el transbordo en Gral Guido y el viaje en autobus fue de 8 hs. El doble de tiempo que llevar ir en micro o en auto. Pero la diferencia de dinero es ABISMAL. El micro costaba 3200 pesos argentinos, unos 18 dolares, y el tren costó tan solo 700 pesos argentinos algo así como 4 dolares.

The train is an excellent alternative to go to different parts of the country, if you come to visit I suggest you take advantage of it!
