When people talk about the Gargano in Italy (or outside of it), they generally refer to the monumental promontory that dominates the coast of Apulia on the Adriatic Sea or to the National Park that bears the same name, with a biodiversity worthy of attention, and a favorite place for lovers of trekking, biking and other sports disciplines that can be practiced in this type of terrain.
But it is difficult to mention the coasts that surround this imposing natural wonder and one of the most visited parks in Italy in spring and summer.
The coasts of the Gargano National Park are marvelous and varied.
Beaches formed by strips of fine sand or half-moons of pebbles, in the middle of cliffs or immersed in the spectacular Mediterranean spot.
More than 200 kilometers of coastline where steep cliffs, beautiful beaches of fine sand, coves of dunes, crystal clear waters of a turquoise color that dazzles the eyes, rocks and chimneys, thickets with plant species of the Mediterranean spot and extensive and high limestone walls gradually alternate.
It is the best place to acquire all the beauty of the Apulian peninsula.
Cuando se habla del Gargano en Italia (o fuera de ella) se hace referencia en líneas generales al monumental promontorio que domina la costa de Apulia sobre el Mar Adriático o al Parque Nacional que lleva el mismo nombre, con una biodiversidad digna de atención, y lugar preferido para los amantes del trekking, bicicross y otras disciplinas deportivas que se pueden practicar en ese tipo de terreno.
Pero difícilmente se hace mención a las costas que circundan esta imponente maravilla natural y uno d elos parques más visitados de Italia en primavera y verano.
Las costas del Parque Nacional del Gargano son maravillosos y de los más variadas.
Playas formadas por franjas de arena fina o medias lunas de guijarros, en medio de acantilados o inmersas en la espectacular mancha mediterránea.
Más de 200 kilómetros de costa donde se van paulatinamente alternando acantilados escarpados, hermosas playas de fina arena, calas de dunas, aguas cristalinas de un color turquea que encandila los ojos, rocas y chimeneas, matorrales con especies vegetales de la mancha mediterránea y extensos y altos murallones de piedra caliza.
Es el mejor lugar para adquirir toda la belleza de la península de Apulia.

If there is a "natural defect" to be found in this beautiful bay, it is that of being "too airy" as the Italians say.
Sometimes the wind blows hard on the beach so it is advisable to visit in summer or late spring when the days are warmer.
It is very frequented by lovers of water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Si hay que sacarle un "defecto natural" a esta hermosa bahía es el de ser "demasiado ventilada" como dicen los italianos.
A veces el viento azotada con fuerza la playa por lo cuál es recomendable visitar de verano o al final de la primavera cuando los días son més calurosos.
Es muy frecuentada por los amantes de los deportes náuticos como vela, windsurf y el kitesurf.
Sfinale Bay. / Bahia de Sfinale.
It is an ideal beach for families especially with children, as it does not present too complicated surfaces to climb and is ideal for its type of sand for the construction of the popular "sand castles" on the beach.
It has a gentle slope towards the sea and in the foreground in a watchful manner is the ruined Saracen tower as a majestic and symbolic background of a distant past.
Es una playa ideal para familias especialmente con niños, ya que no presenta superficies demasiado complicadas para escalar y es ideal por su tipo de arena para la construcción de los populares "castillos de arena" en la playa.
Tiene una pendiente hacia el mar poco pronunciada y en primer plano en forma vigilante está la torre sarracena en ruinas como fondo majestuoso y simbólico de un pasado muy lejano.

A short distance from the beach there is a real naturalistic.archaeological oasis in the locality called La Salada (La Salata), one of the most precious testimonies of the early Christian era in this region of the Gargano.

Esta bahia es también conocida con el nombre de Bahia dei Mergoli y el rasgo más destacado son dos impresionantes acantilados que sobresalen de un mar cristalino como pocos.
Esta bahia no tiene aparcamientos y el lugar más cercano donde dejar el vehículo es la Bahia de Vignanotica.
Si en cambio llegaron hasta este lugar caminando este problema no se presenta y pueden dedicarse a admirar un kilómetro de playa con una arina muy fina y blanca.

Esta playa es una de las más extensas en el sentido hacia el mar y tiene un fondo marino muy bajo que va bajando lentamente a medida que se entra en el Mar Adriático.
