El estado Sucre, cuya capital es Cumaná, fue el primer territorio que pisó Cristóbal Colón en su llegada a Venezuela. La confluencia de cuatro ríos, la transparencia de las aguas marinas, la prolífica hermosura de sus flora hicieron pensar al Almirante que había llegado al paraíso terrenal.
The state of Sucre, whose capital is Cumaná, was the first territory Christopher Columbus set foot on when he arrived in Venezuela. The confluence of four rivers, the transparency of the sea waters and the prolific beauty of its flora made the Admiral think he had arrived in paradise on earth.
Cuentan los historiadores que Colón, convencido de que llevaba un mensaje divino con sus expediciones, le escribió al Príncipe Juan diciéndole: "Dios me ha hecho mensajero del nuevo cielo y de la nueva tierra de la que habló el apocalipsis de San Juan (...)Él me mostró el lugar donde encontrarlos."
Historians say that Columbus, convinced that he was carrying a divine message with his expeditions, wrote to Prince John saying: "God has made me a messenger of the new heaven and the new earth spoken of in the apocalypse of St. John (...) He showed me the place where to find them".
Salir de la capital e internarse en las diferentes poblaciones rurales del estado sucre es un viaje seguro hacia un encuentro profundo con la naturaleza. Sucre cuenta con un extenso litoral que convive hermosamente con un clima de montaña. de manera que entre la playa y las poblaciones que viven entre las montañas se puede apreciar una variación de climas.
Espero que en la medida en que las circunstancias frente a la pandemia o permita pueda yo mostrarles la belleza de este estado.
Leaving the capital and going into the different rural towns of the state of Sucre is a safe journey towards a profound encounter with nature.
Sucre has an extensive coastline that coexists beautifully with a mountain climate, so that between the beach and the towns that live in the mountains you can appreciate a variation of climates.
I hope that as far as circumstances allow, I will be able to show you the beauty of this state.
La denominación de Tierra de Gracia que el descubridor de América le dio al estado Sucre es aplicable a la grandeza de su naturaleza afecta a sus habitantes en la medida en la que se apegan, tqal vez sabiamente a un modo de vida tradicional.
The name "Tierra de Graci" (Land of Grace), which the discoverer of America gave to the state of Sucre, is applicable to the greatness of its nature and affects its inhabitants to the extent that they stick, perhaps wisely, to a traditional way of life.

El estado Sucre esta lleno de pequeños caseríos asentados alrededor de las faenas de la pesca,algunos del turismo de aventura, y otros internados en la frescura de las montañas, produciendo los frutos del campo.

The state of Sucre is full of small villages settled around fishing, some for adventure tourism, and others nestled in the coolness of the mountains, producing the fruits of the field.
