Hello, Pinmapple community! Today I would like to introduce you to Misato Park, a wonderful park located in Saitama, Japan.
今日は埼玉県三郷市にある、みさと公園に行ってきました。なかなか素敵な公園だったので、紹介したいと思います😄
Misato Park is a huge park located in Misato City, Saitama Prefecture, adjacent to Mizumoto Park in Katsushika Ward. Our family often goes to Mizumoto Park, but we have never been to Misato Park, which is located on the other side of the irrigation pond.
Misato Park has a variety of playground equipment. I have always wanted to visit there someday, watching the children playing happily from the Mizumoto Park side.
So today, I prepared a simple lunch in the morning, put my second son's kick skater in the basket of my bicycle, and set off for Misato Park.
みさと公園は埼玉県三郷市に位置する巨大な公園で、葛飾区の水元公園に隣接しています。私たち家族は水元公園にはよく行きますが、用水池の反対側にあるみさと公園には一度も行ったことがありませんでした。
みさと公園には色々な遊具があります。いつも子どもたちが楽しそうに遊ぶ様子を水元公園側から眺めながら、いつか行ってみたいと思っていました。
そこで今日は、朝から簡単なお弁当を用意して、次男のキックスケーターを自転車のカゴに乗せ、みさと公園目指して出発しました。
In terms of distance, it is not much different from going to Mizumoto Park. From my house, it is rather slightly closer to Misato Park on the map.
If you go there by public transportation, a bus leaves from the south exit of Misato Station on the JR Musashino Line. Take the bus and get off at "Misato Koen-mae".
距離的には水元公園に行くのと大差ありません。自宅からだと、むしろ地図上はみさと公園の方が若干近いくらいです。
私たちは自転車で行きました。公共交通機関で行く場合は、JR武蔵野線「三郷駅」南口からバスが出ています。「みさと公園前」で降りてください。
Expansive grounds（広大な敷地）
The charm of Misato Park, as well as Mizumoto Park, is its spaciousness! There are many parks in Tokyo, but most of them are small, and not only are ball games prohibited, but skateboards and kick skaters are also prohibited in many of them.
水元公園もですが、みさと公園の魅力はなんといってもその広さ！だと思います。都内は公園はたくさんあるのですが、こじんまりしたものが多く、ボール遊び禁止はもちろん、スケートボード・キックスケーターの類も禁止のところが多いのです。
Misato Park is bicycle accessible (rather too large to move around on foot only), and ball, Frisbee, badminton, and skateboarding etc. are allowed.
The promenade is maintained with asphalt. Many people can be seen walking, jogging, or walking their dogs. My second son also enjoyed kick skating to the fullest.
みさと公園は自転車の乗り入れが可能で（むしろ広すぎて徒歩のみだときつい）、ボール、フリスビー、バドミントン、スケートボードもOK。
遊歩道はアスファルトで整備されています。ウォーキング、ジョギングや犬の散歩をしている人も多く見られます。次男も存分にキックスケーターを楽しみました。
Children's Fortress（子供の砦）
Misato Park has a lot of playground equipment. There is a huge athletic facility, which was crowded with children.
みさと公園は遊具が充実しています。巨大なアスレチックがあり、子どもたちで賑わっていました。
I thought my sons would play here for a while, but... perhaps similar to me, they might be not good at crowded places. They seemed to get tired of waiting their turn and being chased from behind, so they left the "Children's Fortress" early.
However, since athletic facilities of this scale are hard to find, I would like to go back on a weekday when it is more open.
息子たちもしばらくここで遊ぶのかと思いきや… 私に似たのか、混んでいる場所は2人とも苦手なようです。順番待ちをしたり、後ろから追い立てられるようにして遊んだりするのがイヤになったらしく、早々に「子どもの砦」を後にしました。
しかしこの規模のアスレチックはなかなかないので、平日などもっと空いている時にまた行ってみたいと思います。
Incidentally, the area around the "Children's Fort" is usually crowded with small tents (sunshades) like this. Don't tell anyone that every time I see this scene, I feel they look like an alien egg....
ちなみに「子どもの砦」周辺はこのように小さなテント（サンシェード）がひしめき合うのが常です。この光景を見るたびに、何だかエイリアンの卵みたいだなぁ…と思っていることは内緒です。
Nature Observation Zone（自然観察ゾーン）
After the Children's Fortress, we headed to the Nature Observation Zone. The best time to see the iris field is probably around May or June, so the plants had not yet grown today.
「子どもの砦」の次は「自然観察ゾーン」へ向かいました。菖蒲田の見頃は5〜6月ごろなのでしょうか、まだ株が育っていませんでした。
Ducks were swimming and a large number of pine cones that someone had collected were placed on a bench. We can freely play while strolling along the boardwalk. This kind of play seems to be better for my sons.
自然観察ゾーンには鴨が泳いでいたり、誰かが集めた松ぼっくりが大量にベンチに置かれていたり。遊歩道を散策しながら自由に遊ぶことができます。息子たちには、こういう遊びの方がいいようです。

Goldfish Exhibition Ground in Mizumoto Park（水元公園の金魚展示場）
After a snack, we headed to Mizumoto Park Park. This was to see goldfish!
自然観察ゾーンで遊んでからおやつを食べ、水元公園公園に向かいました。金魚を見るためです！
In the goldfish exhibit area, approximately 1,000 goldfish of 24 species are kept and displayed. The main exhibits are Edo Akane, Edo Nishiki, and other goldfish called Edomae goldfish. The display area was covered with netting to protect the goldfish from birds and other predators.
金魚展示場では、24種類約1,000匹の金魚が飼育・展示されています。江戸前金魚と呼ばれる江戸茜・江戸錦などが中心です。鳥などから金魚を守るため、展示場は網で覆われていました。
I have been here several times, but this is the first time I noticed this "Choten-gan" (meaning eyes at the top). Wow... the eyes are on top! Can we see the front and sides?
ここには何度か来たことがありましたが、今回初めてこの「頂天眼」に気がきました。すごい… 目が上にあるんですねw 前や横は見えているのだろうか。
The Aquatic Life Museum in Mizumoto Park（水元公園の「水辺のいきもの館」）
Finally, we decided to stop by the 'Aquatic Life Museum' before heading back. Here, you can learn about the plants, insects, and birds in the park.
最後に「水辺のいきもの館」を覗いて帰ることにしました。ここでは、公園内の植物や昆虫、鳥について学ぶことができます。
A tapestry showing the size of Victoria amazonica. I've heard that we can ride on it (although you cannot do so at the Misumoto Park), but upon further investigation, it seems that you need to weigh less than 30kg even if you can ride it.
オニバスの葉の大きさを示すタペストリーです。オニバスは乗ることができるらしいと聞いたことはあって（水元公園では乗れません）、いま調べてみたら乗れるとしても体重計30㎏以下でないとダメみたいです😅
Himalayan cedar cones. They are famous for resembling roses, but I have yet to see any that have fallen
ヒマラヤスギの松ぼっくり。薔薇の花に似ていることで有名だそうですが、未だ落ちているのを見たことはありません。
On the right is a lotus receptacle. I'm not quite sure what the long and thin thing on the left is. When my elder son shook it, it made a rattling sound, so I think it might be something like a bean.
右はハスの花托。左の細長いものは何だかよくわかりません…長男が手に持って振ったらカラカラと音がしたので、豆か何かだと思いますが…
Misato Park and Mizumoto Park are attractive for their spaciousness, which allows for free play. I actually brought my Kindle to lay out on the lawn with a leisure sheet and do some reading, but the wind was unexpectedly strong and cold so I couldn't do it today. I would like to go again when it gets a little warmer.
みさと公園、水元公園は広々としていて自由な遊び方ができるのが魅力です。本当は芝生にレジャーシートを敷いて、読書でもしようかなとKindleを持って行ったのですが、思いの外風が強く（しかも冷たく）今日はできませんでした。もう少し暖かくなった頃にまた行きたいと思います。
