I arrived at Istanbul airport in Turkey just as a stopover to complete my trip from Barcelona to Caracas and it really impressed me.

Llegué al aeropuerto de Estambul en Turquía tan solo como una escala para completar mi viaje de Barcelona a Caracas y realmente me impactó.

One of the things that limits me in this type of situation is the diversity of languages. I need translators to make myself understood since I don't speak English. Even so, the people were very friendly and tried to make themselves understood to make things easier for me.

Istanbul airport is very busy. On the billboards you can see the large number of flights departing.

As an additional comment I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the bathrooms (toilets). In addition to soap, disinfectant gel, and large disposable towels, there was also fresh cologne to provide a better service to the passenger. These details are appreciated before embarking on such long flights.
Another curious note is that within the airport there are a total of 40 mosques available in the terminal. There are also two worship spaces for other religions.

Otra nota curiosa es que dentro del aeropuerto hay un total de 40 mezquitas disponibles en la terminal. También hay dos espacios de culto para otras religiones.
Long conveyor belts made it easier to move through the different boarding gates, and it was precisely this long line you see here that was for the flight I was supposed to take. There we Venezuelans met and the silence ended. Everyone was in awe of the great work that this new airport represents.

So it was time to leave. I confess that I felt something like an emptiness because I would have loved to know the city. It is a task that will remain pending and that I intend to accomplish at some point.
