| Хочу показать берлинский памятник советским солдатам, который, может быть, не все знают. По крайней мере, мы узнали о нём только готовясь к поездке в Берлин. Более известен мемориальный комплекс в Трептов-парке со знаменитой скульптурой советского солдата, держащего на руках маленькую девочку. Там мы позже тоже побываем. | I want to show the Berlin monument to Soviet soldiers, which perhaps not everyone knows. At least, we only learned about it when preparing for our trip to Berlin. More famous is the memorial complex in Treptower Park with the famous sculpture of a Soviet soldier holding a little girl in his arms. We will visit it later too. |
| Но в самом центре города, на краю парка Тиргартен около Рейхстага, есть ещё один памятник. Здесь захоронены более 2000 советских бойцов, погибших в битве за Берлин. | But in the very center of the city, on the edge of the Tiergarten park near the Reichstag, there is another monument. Inscription in gold letters: “Eternal glory to the heroes who fell in battles with the Nazi invaders for the freedom and independence of the Soviet Union.” |
