Hola amigos viajeros, en estos días tuve la oportunidad de visitar una nueva ciudad aquí en Santa Catarina, Brasil y me encantó el paseo y las bellas cosas que pude ver, por lo que quiero compartir esta experiencia con ustedes.
Hello fellow travelers, these days I had the opportunity to visit a new city here in Santa Catarina, Brazil and I loved the ride and the beautiful things I could see, so I want to share this experience with you.
En este viaje fui con mi esposo y unos amigos de la iglesia a la ciudad de Barra Velha, fue un viaje en el que tuve la oportunidad de conocer una nueva ciudad de Brasil, disfrutar de su belleza y al mismo tiempo compartir con amigos. El viaje fue en carro, desde Corupá (en dónde vivimos) hasta Barra Velha, por lo que disfruté también del viaje por carretera, viendo muchas cosas lindas por el camino y conversando con mis amigos.
On this trip I went with my husband and some friends from the church to the city of Barra Velha, it was a trip in which I had the opportunity to get to know a new city in Brazil, enjoy its beauty and at the same time share with friends. The trip was by car, from Corupá (where we live) to Barra Velha, so I also enjoyed the road trip, seeing many beautiful things along the way and chatting with my friends.

Nuestra primera parada fue en el monumento de La estatua de la Libertad, hecho por la cadena de tiendas Havan. Obviamente el monumento es una réplica de la verdadera Estatua de la Libertad que se encuentra en Estados Unidos, y es además un mirador que ofrece una vista espectacular de la ciudad. Para subir al monumento hay que subir en elevador, ya a esa altura sentí más el frío, por lo que tuve que abrigarme mejor. Me encantó la vista y pude tomar fotos muy bonitas de la ciudad.
Our first stop was at the Statue of Liberty monument, made by the Havan chain of stores. Obviously the monument is a replica of the real Statue of Liberty found in the United States, and it is also a viewpoint that offers a spectacular view of the city. To go up to the monument you have to go up by elevator, being at that height I felt very cold, so I had to bundle up better. I loved the view and was able to take beautiful pictures of the city.

Desde afuera este monumento se ve verdaderamente impresionante, pues es muy grande, no me imagino como sería ver la estatua original que es por mucho, más alta. Por ahora, estoy muy contenta de haber conocido esta versión.
From the outside this monument looks really impressive, it is very big, I can't imagine what it would be like to see the original statue, which is much taller. For now, I am very happy to have seen this version.

Nuestra siguiente parada fue en el monumento Morro de Cristo, donde hay dos estatuas de Cristo, una más grande que la otra. Desde este lugar también hay una vista impresionante de la ciudad y está muy bien decorado, con los muros pintados con dibujos de colores y bancos para sentarse, me gustó mucho. Es lo más cerca que he podido estar del Cristo Redentor, pues la estatua es muy similar a la que está en Río de Janeiro. Me encantó tomarme muchas fotos en este lugar y además podíamos ver la playa que se veía bastante cerca.
Our next stop was at the Morro de Cristo monument, where there are two statues of Christ, one larger than the other. From this place there is also a breathtaking view of the city and it is very nicely decorated, with the walls painted with colorful drawings and benches to sit on, I really liked it. It is the closest I have been able to get to Christ the Redeemer, as the statue is very similar to the one in Rio de Janeiro. I loved taking a lot of pictures here and we could also see the beach which was quite close.

Después de esto, hicimos una pequeña parada en nuestro tour para merendar algo en una pequeña cafetería local, y luego seguimos el viaje.
After this, we made a short stop on our tour for a snack at a small local coffee shop, and then continued our journey.

Nuestra última parada fue en Playa Central, una de las mejores playas de esta ciudad, pero no nos bañamos, pues no estamos en horario de verano todavía y hacía un poco de frío. De todas formas nos acercamos a la playa y dimos un pequeño paseo, disfrutando de la brisa del mar y tomándonos muchas fotos. Me gustaría mucho visitar esta playa en verano, se ve muy bonita.
Our last stop was at Playa Central, one of the best beaches in this city, but we did not go for a swim, as we are not in summer time yet and it was a bit cold. Anyway we went to the beach and took a little walk, enjoying the sea breeze and taking lots of pictures. I would really like to visit this beach in summer, it looks very nice.

So far this beautiful trip through the city of Barra Velha, I'm sure there were many interesting places to visit, but I guess they will stay for another time. So far the state of Santa Catarina has shown me that it has very beautiful cities and I hope to continue knowing them and continue living new experiences like this one.
