A Visit to Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire

I visited Clumber Park a few weeks back to check out holiday cottage rentals. The park is a National Trust property near Worksop in Nottinghamshire.

This one was my favourite, the Kitchen Garden Cottage that was built around 1892. As it's situated in the walled kitchen garden, vineries and the main gardens, the cottage is believed to have used by workers or perhaps an assistant to the Head Gardener.

This is the old cricket pavilion. The cricket club dates from 1894, although the thatched pavilion dates from around 1930s.

The Duke gave permission for a pavillion to be erected, as long as it was thatched with heather. He obviously had great taste.

I love the old cricket scoreboard. I could quite easily live in this.

A lone tree with a lone pigeon (if you can spot it).

The surrounding area is lovely and very popular with visitors for a day out, whether you're walking or cycling, especially in the autumn with the changing of the leaves.
