Moscow: the subway, snow and views (VII)

Hello people!

And like every trip, this one also comes to an end, a varied, curious and interesting tour of a great city that we have discovered is much more beautiful and impressive than we thought...
And this is the last post of the Moscow serie (today when I have read here the Pinmapple's post about the end of the Pinmapple map project soon, so sad this).

We have seen many things in Moscow, the most iconic and well-known places and also other more everyday ones, squares, churches, monuments, museums and parks, a walk along the river, and some brilliant night out. But sometimes to get around we had to take the subway, and who hasn't heard about the Moscow subway?

The Subway

One of the oldest subways in the world, I don't know if the first or the second actually, but without a doubt the most impressive and beautiful in the world. Each of its stations is a work of art per se, it is a small museum, and a trace of its hectic past, and always impressive.

This is how they keep it, without graffiti or trash, just art, a lot of people and a lot of rush, because it is an essential element of the city, where its millions of citizens go from station to station until they reach their destination in this enormous city.

Others of us, without being in such a hurry, tried to stop and contemplate the beauty that is hidden underground, but I must say that sometimes it was difficult to stop to take photos, because there were usually a lot of people or because I was also in a hurry, with meetings and things to do, but something I was able to do and I show you a small part. But there are other real seasons that are even more beautiful!

And among all the decorative art, we also look at its people and find curious moments, here there is a lot of respect for the older people who served their country. Well, without getting into political issues, in general, there is respect for the things that surround them, their history and their own society.

Moscow & the snow

And what there is always in Russia is snow, or so we think, right? In summer obviously not, but in winter yes, it is cold, and being a Mediterranean girl the winter season was not easy, but I survived despite looking at the snow and the many degrees below zero from the window.

I didn't take too many photos outdoors in the cold because my hands simply froze, but I share some. But I also enjoyed that fun snow that we don't have in these warmer places next to the beach. I had to enjoy the complete experience and the beautiful Moscow both in winter and spring!

Views

We looked out the window, both cold and less cold, because from some places the views showed us only a part of the city but made us admire it more. With different lights and tones, when June arrives and the days are very long and almost midnight it is not night yet, crazy.

I was able to enjoy colorful sunsets thinking about that incredible experience that I had the fortune to live, to know a magnificent city that is a beautiful treasure that I will never forget.

Well, finally, this is the last post about the city of Moscow in Russia... but see you soon in new travel posts of other wonderful destinations!

Bye Moscow. До свидания Москва.
