If you come to Danang and love to ride a motorbike, try Hai Van Pass. I'm sure you will never regret. Hai Van Pass, which means "ocean cloud pass", is an approximately 21 km long mountain pass on National Route 1A in Vietnam. It crosses over a spur of the Truong Son (Annamite) Range that emerges from the west and juts into the East Sea of Viet Nam, on the border of Da Nang city and Thua Thien – Hue Province. Its name means to the mists that rise from the sea, reducing visibility. The twisting road on the pass has been a challenge for drivers and also created a unique beauty for this place.
In addition, there are many beautiful scenes along the way from Da Nang to the top of the pass such as the sea on the right hand side, the rice fields on the left, the railway, Cu De river and Nam Hai pagoda. Plus, there are many stops to enjoy breath-taking sceneries along the way up the pass, and there are also some cafes for you to relax and unwind.

The best time to go to the pass for sightseeing is in the early morning from 5:00 to 8:00 or in the afternoon from 16:00 to 18:00. These are the times when the sun is not too strong and you can enjoy the cool fresh air as well as watch the beautiful sceneries here.
However, when driving up here, you should be careful because the road is quite steep and has sharp curves. For first-time drivers, my advice is to go slow and focus on the road, as the beautiful surroundings can distract you.
