Your treated to a gin and tonic when you arrive then you get a short tour of the distillery where the explained the process and the stills. Then you retire to the store. For a gin tasting, they make small batch gins with a number of different botanicals and flavours. So it’s good idea to sort a designated driver or get a taxi or you will be walking home.

One of the more unusual one was the Dr Squid Gin that was made with squid ink in a very distinctive copper flask.

They also do tastings on an apple brandy, small batch whiskey and an Absinthe which was a really present surprise.

The tour and tasting lasted about 2 hours and costs £10 so it’s extremely good value. So if your in the area and have a few hours to kill it’s well worth a visit but you do need to book online first.
