As I mentioned in my coffee post day the other Yve and I originally got out week at CLowance in 1986 when the resort first opened. In those days it was a proper timeshare your week could be exchanged using one of them company’s such as RCI.
Clowance is a very old country estate that once belonged to the St Aubyn family since around 1380. A couple of large fires in the 1800s saw the house remodelled
To the current configuration. That is mow mainly used as admin for the resort.
The site now has around 90 lodges scattered thought the park and wood land there is a club house /leisure centre on site with a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts and Gym.
Despite the number of lodges there are still lots of open park, mature woodlands with a a lake and walks which is all very restful.
There was a 9 hole golf course but not many people played over the year as there are others full golf courses nearby so its now being remodelled in to more lake side lodges. So a bit of the resort is a building site but that is well away from the occupied lodges.
The lodges are mostly sleeps 6 and very well equipped.
The outdoor jacuzzi is a great addition
Clowance has the advantage of be in very central at the bottom end of Cornwall so its 10 minutes from the north coast surfing beaches and around 20 minutes from Truro, Penzance, and St Ives. The Lizard and Lands End are about an hour away.
