Today, on my way home while walking through the streets of the city I came across the great Colon Theater and decided to stop to contemplate this beautiful monument. The day was very warm, typical of the days before the arrival of the spring season in the country, there were many people sitting in the squares, lots of good energy in the street and an excess of charisma in the people walking the streets. I decided to take a couple of pictures, share them with you and tell you a little about it.
Hoy, camino a casa mientras caminaba por las calles de la ciudad me topé con el gran Teatro Colón y decidí determe a contemplar ésta belleza de monumento. El día estuvo muy cálido, típico de los días previos a la llegada de la temporada de primavera en el país, habían muchas personas sentadas en las plazas, mucha buena energía en la calle y un exceso de carisma en las personas que transitaban por las calles. Decidí a tomar un par de fotografías, compartirlas con ustedes y contarles un poco al respecto.
The Colon Theater is considered the best lyric theater in the world in relation to its acoustics, size and trajectory. Inaugurated in 1908 and restored between 2001 and 2010, it is a theater highly revered by the artists who have performed there and by the general public.
Among these artists are: Gustavo Cerati, Charly García, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Astor Piazzolla, Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, among many others.
El teatro Colón es considerado el mejor teatro lírico del mundo en relación a su acústica, tamaño y trayectoria. Inaugurado en el año 1908 y restaurado entre en 2001 y el 2010, es un teatro muy venerado por los artistas que se han presentado en él y por el público en general.
Entre estos artistas están: Gustavo Cerati, Charly García, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Astor Piazzolla, Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, entre muchos otros más.
It was declared a national historic monument in 1990 and although I have not had the opportunity to access the facilities and see the interior I hope to be able to do so and enjoy a presentation as it must be amazing.
Fue declarado monumento histórico nacional en 1990 y aunque no he tenido la oportunidad de poder acceder a las instalaciones y conocer el interior espero poder hacerlo y así disfrutar de alguna presentación ya que debe ser alucinante.
This theater is compared to other renowned opera houses in the world, such as the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, Covent Garden in London, the Paris Opera and the Vienna State Opera.
Este teatro es comparado con otras salas líricas del mundo muy reconocidas, como lo son el Metropolitan Opera House en New York, Covent Garden en Londres, Ópera de París y la Ópera estatal de Viena.
