Hi Hivers,
Few years back I with my parents planned a trip to Odisha. A state on eastern coast of India. My father was watching some program on TV and he saw about "Jagannath Puri" in a program. From there the idea originated and he said we should visit there. Even initially I thought I would arrange a trip for my parents only. But when I started to explore about other things of interest in Odisha I planned a vacation trip for all of us.
Odisha was never in my books to visit, but after visiting there I can say that it has a lot to offer and if you love to travel its a must visit place for many reasons.
Our trip to Odisha was for 5 days and at the end I felt we missed many places due to time constraint. First 2 days we stayed in Puri at a beach resort. It was my first experience of staying so close to beach. 'Hotel Holiday Resort' is just on the beach. The view from my room window was immense expanse of water up to where my eyes allowed to look into. I could sea some boats at a distance in the sea, may be fishing boats.
Stay in the resort was nice and beach just a few steps away was a luxury we embraced for morning/evening walks.
Beaches were neat and clean, there were sea shell.
Puri is known for 'Jagannath Puri' one of the very famous 'Char Dham' in India. There are beautiful beaches, the largest in Asia and second largest in the world Chilika Lake of brackish water lagoon, Konark Temple an engineering marvel built around 13th century and many more places to visit.
Puri beaches are also very famous for the sand artist 'Sudarshan Patnaik'. He creates amazing arts with sand on beach.
Will write more about my trip in coming blogs.
Thanks for reading all through it.
Keep reading, keep posting, keep traveling.
