I have gained some weight in the last couple of years, so I've thought that maybe walking Biscuit up a mountain will be more effective than just walking him around the neighborhood as usual.
Snaefell is the tallest mountain on the Isle of Man. It's not huge by world standards, but it's tall enough that pretty much the entire island can be seen from the peak, as well as England, Scotland and Ireland if the weather is clear enough. It is the mountain in the name of the TT racecourse "The Mountain". The Mountain Road aka TT race course is the route I took most of the way, before climbing just the summit.
At the summit is a nice café, and the terminus of the oldest electric tramway in the world, which has to circle the mountain to reach the peak.
