Hello everybody!
How are you today? I hope everyone will be fine.
My next article today will continue on the topic of Museums. The museum that today, I would like to introduce to everyone is the Da Nang Museum. At the beginning of today's article, I will briefly introduce the place.
Da Nang Museum is the place to store the formation and development of Da Nang city. The museum is located at 24 Tran Phu street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City. It can be said that the museum is located in a very meaningful location for the city. The museum is located inside a national historic site called Dien Hai citadel. This is an important fortress, contributing to defeating the attacks of the French colonialists on Da Nang, and to this day, this place is used as a place to keep memories of the city's history, development, and formation Da Nang City. In front of the entrance of the Da Nang museum, is designed a sail shape. This is the symbol of Da Nang city reaching out to the sea. It is the desire for the will of each citizen, in the process of construction and development. Inside the museum, there are 3 floors. Each floor has its own characteristics.
The first floor is an introduction to Da Nang city. Natural ecosystems, geology, minerals, and ancient collections from prehistoric times. There are basic industries of the city such as making Tuy Loan rice paper, making Nam O fish sauce along and the famous Non Nuoc stone carving profession. Especially, the first floor depicts the lives of fishermen and Da Nang seaport through images of fishing villages.
The second floor is the floor that impresses me the most is the exhibition area about the war against France - America. Looking at each historical artifact, the historical knowledge that I have learned seems to be reproduced here. Coming to the area to talk about the massacre during the war and the images of the victims of the Viet Nam war, I really couldn't hold back my tears. This place is a place to keep memories and artifacts of the Viet Nam war. When coming here will help visitors feel what war brings. The grief and loss, the damage to physical facilities, and the emotional trauma for those who are still alive. When I finished the 2nd-floor tour, I felt very lucky to have been born in a time of peace. Peace has brought people good things, that is happiness, human aspiration. Visiting the museum made me feel about the brutality of war.
The 3rd floor is the place to introduce collections, artifacts, and images of ethnic communities in Da Nang city and Quang Nam provinces with typical works such as production tools of the local people, ethnic minorities, clothes, and jewelry of the compatriots: weaving and knitting, along with typical musical instruments of Vietnamese ethnic groups. There are also professions such as medical examination and treatment from ancient times with the blessings of medicinal plants. The same three-room houses from the past, are sketched in detail. On the floor area, there is a cinema room, with a capacity of 30 seats. There are documentary films about the history, as well as the culture and society of Da Nang city.
If you have the opportunity to come to Da Nang city. I think Danang Museum is an appropriate place for people to learn the history of the formation and development of Da Nang over the years. As well as about the culture and art of Vietnam, through many generations today.
Thank you to everyone who has viewed and supported my article about Da Nang Museum. See you all in the next post.
