Konec fabulace. Opravdu jsem byl v neděli na Kometě. Musím však napsat, že to nebylo vesmírné těleso, ale docela nenápadný kopec v Píseckých horách. I když psát o horách je také trochu ošidné. Je to sice zeměpisný název, ale není tady ani jeden kopec, co by přesáhl výšku 1000 metrů nad mořem.
Co je tedy na kopci jménem Kometa (kromě názvu) zajímavého? Vlastně nic. Jen kousek pod vrcholem jsem v mapách objevil, že se tady od 13. do 15. století kopalo a těžilo zlato. A to stálo za nedělní výlet a malý průzkum.
Nedělal jsem si naděje na nalezení zlata. Jen jsem se tam chtěl podívat. Navíc se zlatodoly nachází na místě, kde (podle geologických map) vystupuje k povrchu křemenná žíla. To dává naději na nález krystalů křišťálu a i jiných minerálů. Tolik teorie.
Praxe je samozřejmě jiná. Dávní horníci byli tak pilní, že prakticky celou křemennou žílu odtěžili. V lese zůstaly jen díry a vyhloubené příkopy.
