Today I show you the amazing view and scenery that you can only get up in the Northern Range of Trinidad at the Mt. St. Benedict Abbey. It boasts a breathtaking view of most of the island and wonderful lush surroundings of the mountains and the valley below. The Benedictine monks came to Trinidad in the old days fleeing religious persecution in Brazil and settled here after which the monastery became a permanent ornament in our northern range. You cannot recognize it without the abbey!
