A park with various attractions, from a variety of vegetation, animals, and incredible views that mix the natural with the city.
This time I visited the southernmost part of this wonderful park. And although it is part of the park as it joins the northern part under the bridge where the artificial lake is, it seems that the atmosphere they have developed is totally different.
It retains the French style, but has much more light and the reflections on the lake are more noticeable.
I enter this part under the bridge, going around the lake where I find a shady path that leads me to a structure with stone walls but above it I can see some very beautiful bird works.
Steel poles hold up birds also made of iron, creating a beautiful decoration in the park.
When you reach the stairs there is a sign informing you about this part of the park, a ziggurat, which is a stepped pyramid where you can find vegetation and animals, especially birds.
The entrance to this pyramid is beautiful with very nice sculptures.
Climbing up I could admire the path of columns that at their tips held the birds made into sculptures. Then going around the pyramid I reach a staircase that takes me to the top of the pyramid, where there is a special place where there are certain birds with signs on them.
As I climb the stairs I admire the scenery around me and it is beautiful.
The signs tell me about the presence of the parakeets and the exotic species in the park. The sound and chirping of the birds in this area is indescribable. I approached to see if I could take a photograph from inside the glass structure.
At that height of the pyramid I could see down, which is the only way to see them, certain spaces as well as other animals such as Emus, and I was able to take a photograph of them, although the sun was very strong in that area.
There used to be kangaroos there, but I think they have been removed. According to what I was told there was some kind of disease or plague and they decided to move them.
Although I could only see it from a distance, the Emu is very beautiful and there is a pair of them in the park, as well as two pairs of white swans and one pair of black swans.
On leaving the beautiful pyramid I came across more iron sculptures. A very fitting decoration for the park.
On my way through the park I came across a children's playground, full of colour and with lots of games.
An area where, in addition, there are other objects such as some that are musical and instructive for children.
A large wall with a water fountain underneath decorated with sculptures of different figures.
This path led me to cross a bridge over an area of water with some jets that emerged dancing. A magical path.
This side of the park, is the right side of the park that leads to a lake area where I could see signs referring to the species of birds that are in the place and also see the white swans. The black swans were hidden, I could not find them.
The views and the water mirrors are wonderful and in the water we can also see sculptures such as mermaids and others.
I was able to meet pairs of different species of ducks, with amazing colours. Some were swimming in the water and others were in front of me on the path.
Going back through the centre of this southern part of the park, there is another part of the lake in the middle, where there are seats to admire the view and on both sides beautiful pergolas with vine plants.
I climbed the steps leading up to them to walk around them and admire the view from there.
The water lilies on the water and the sculptures made the landscape incomparable and very beautiful, like a fairy tale.
I went back to the children's park and from there I crossed another very large bridge to another part of the lake.
In this part there is a large avenue of palm trees, very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Also more areas of the artificial lake with its perfect reflections on the water, both of the vegetation and of the surrounding buildings.
A beautiful water fountain in the centre attracts attention.
Throughout the tour I have always seen birds everywhere. In addition to those on the park signs, pigeons, seagulls and much more.
Inside the lake there are beautiful sculptures, not only made of iron but also of cement, which give a lot of light to the surroundings, very modern sculptures.
And of course outside the lake I also found many of them, giving style and a particular design to the whole park.
I can't say which area I liked most of all, but I think this southern area caught my attention because of the design and the amount of animals, plus the waterfalls and water fountains that you can see in the pictures. A marvel.
This place has become one of my favourite places in the city to go for walks and enjoy nature in the city, where I also have the opportunity to see many animals and be close to them.
Thank you very much to all of you for joining me on this tour. Best regards to all of you and see you next time.
