You can find the part 1 of this trip here.

The second day of this trip is find the hidden gems around Klaipeda old town area.

We checked out and took the bus number 8 from the bus station in front of guesthouse and arrived at the station on Senamiesčio street.

From here, we walk onto the small paved roads. Entered the own town area, we could see blocks of German-styled houses built in 17th century (my photos below) and our gems-hunt began:

  5. The marble Piano and the giant chess table:  This giant chess table can be played by moving the huge chess around. The chess are made by very light durable plastic. We played a short match before finding another sculpture.

  6. The sculpture of bronze cat:  This statue was located on another low wall, very close to the giant chess table.

  7. The white vessel “Meridianas“: Walked out of the own town area, then passed by the central park, over bridge “Biržas” to witness the famous symbol of Klaipeda seaport city on River “Dangės”. This yatch was build in 1940s and restored to become a restaurant nowaday.
