Today I want to share with you my visit to "Chameleon Garden" in my hometown of Holon.
The garden is called "Gan Hashomron" on the English version of Google map, but on the Hebrew version it is "גן זיקית" - "Chameleon garden". The latter is much more accurate and used locally.
There are several paths that lead to the garden, all of them are full of greenery.
The garden features public gym, a children's playground and an enclosed playground for dogs.
The main attraction are the chameleons, which the garden is named after.
It features three colourful chameleons. Each chameleon is carefully sculptured and painted. They are regularly repaired and repainted. Such maintenance keeps the chameleons vibrant and very pleasant to look at.
All of the chameleons offer some form of functionality. The green one has colour dials, the purple one has a slide and seats inside.
The third chameleon has caught a grasshopper with his tongue, which can also be used as a hanging bar.
There are also two chameleon themed benches to rest on.
A 3D display of a chamelion that only shows fully colorful picture from a specific angle. It doesn't work from any other angle.
The display is quite big and impressive.
I very much enjoyed my trip to the "Chameleon Garden". It is good to see a celebration of such a magnificent animal.
