Travelling with Bass. The Emperors' Heritage of Hue

This heavy bass is moving with me from city to city, from country to country. But there is nothing else to do: that’s the musical job when you work under contracts in different countries. We are still in Vietnam. This time it’s Hue.

Hue is interesting primarily because in the 19th century it was the capital of Vietnam and it was here that the emperors of the Nguyen dynasty built grandiose architectural buildings.

During the Indochina War Second, many buildings were destroyed, but the state restored most of the city, and historical buildings are currently under UNESCO protection.

Since many emperors wanted to leave the memory of themselves for centuries, they built tombs with amazing Vietnamese architecture.

Many tourists come to see the tomb of Khai Dinh.

Just look at these walls. The richness of the ornament is impressive.

And here is another interesting place: the tomb of King Tu Duc.

_447.jpg

The construction of his tomb was so expensive that even the workers rebelled.

Here you can see a beautiful park, lush vegetation and a lake.

But the most famous building is the imperial citadel: the house of the emperor's family. From the outside it looks like a well-fortified fortress, and inside- it is a rich imperial court.

This citadel is somewhat similar in structure to the Forbidden Courtyard in Beijing. The citadel consists of three parts: the civil part, the imperial part and the Forbidden City.

Since it was the rainy season at the time of our trip, all the photos are slightly gray and devoid of bright colors, but nevertheless, even here you can see how luxurious the imperial dynasty surrounded itself with architecture.

And here is the hotel where we worked. Like almost all Vietnamese hotels, it is surrounded by greenery.

When you work on stage, you often change your jewelry. In Hue, you can buy pearl beads, bracelets and rings very cheaply.

I bought a lot and brought them as a gift to my friends. Pearls that are sold on the street, of course, are not of very good quality, but you can buy different colors and you can bring home kilograms of these lovely things.

And what else does a girl need for happiness? Bright beads and new impressions which the trip gives.
