One more coin, One more spin.
Leaving behind the confusion of Las Ramblas, today we will take a walk around the most characteristic area of Barcelona, through the cradle that saw it born.
Although the cover does not show and even most of the photos that i will share, it was through yet another tour with no certain destination that we ended up in the center of Barri Gòtic.
Unfortunately, as these tours were not previously studied, and in a way we were lost there, we ended up having the luck to visit this magnificent place, without knowing that it was the place where Barcelona was born, the place where all its history began, there, between narrow alleys, century-old buildings and famous squares, the true soul of the city.
The environment is so mystical that it makes us go back in time and imagine the daily lives of those people in those years gone by.
One thing is certain, the next time i travel to a place as emblematic as Barcelona, i will do my homework and will study in detail everything that place has to offer and visit, because in this case, only after i have been there is that i learned about the richness and importance of the place.
It´s in this neighborhood that Barcelona Cathedral is located, and by chance, i was lucky to be able to photograph :) where we can also visit Plaça Reial and Plaça Saunt Jaume, the old Jewish quarter and several museums and other attractions.
Unfortunately i missed several of these places and once again i mention, one day i have to go back there, mainly to this place, by the way, going to Barcelona and not going through Barri Gòtic is the same as going to Mcdonalds and ordering cod. .... well, maybe it's not the best comparison, but I think you can understand the mean lol, if you are planning a trip to Barcelona to stroll and discover the city, read everything you can about this place to know exactly where to go without losing time to look for jugglers.
No other place brings together so much history and so many legends, so many attractions and so much diversity, since it was in this region that the city was born under the name of Barcino, and this is where its true roots are.
Although this visit was made in 2009, i can remember some details as if it were today ....
Damn pandemic that is slow to let us resume our daily routines and plan that trip we want to do so much :(
