Habe den Akku jetzt gewechselt, nachdem ich von ebay einen Ersatzakku bestellt habe.
Ursache für die Ausdehnung des Akkus ist eine Hitzeeinwirkung über längere Zeit. Mein Laptop ist im Betrieb sehr heiß geworden und hat sich in der Nacht selbstständig eingeschaltet und nicht mehr ausgeschaltet.
Erst ein Firmware-Update hat dieses Problem der Überhitzung endlich gelöst.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Hattet ihr auch schon mal so ein Akku-Problem oder Angst, dass euer Akku explodieren könnte?

My laptop battery has inflated and bulged the case a few millimeters and cracked a screw thread. Was fearing that the battery could even explode 💀
Finally changed the battery after ordering a replacement battery from ebay.
The reason for the expansion of the battery is heat exposure over time. My laptop used to get hot during use and would turn itself on at night and not shut off again (Insomnia Bug).
Only a firmware update finally solved this overheating problem.
