Carmine red is mostly derived from the carmine beetle
I love gummy bears and after the I found out about this, every time I saw gummy bear candies, my mind automatically associates it with beetles. I can't imagine eating those adorable beetles. 😅
Though, I think it is far better than synthesized carmine red which is carcinogenic. 😩
