What is a DAO

Today, while going over my Twitter account I found a very descriptive blog post from Aragon describing what is a DAO. I recommend anyone not having a clear idea of the concept to go over it, it will help you better understand the potential of these organizations which were introduced when Ehereum opened up the door to smart contracts.

Aragon is one of the several organizations which have created a framework to launch, govern and manage a DAO and they also published a post with the different types of uses a DAO organization can be created for.

Together with their DAO Client, they have also created nice documentation to learn how to manage their open-source framework, but as with anything in life, testing is one of the best ways to learn, as long as you can make mistakes without ruining anything.

You can just get some Rinkeby Eth and launch the client to create your DAO and test it with different addresses, launch the DAO token, make the initial distribution, create proposals, vote them and manage the DAO treasury.

I encourage you to test with a group of people to find out the beauty and potential of this tools to govern and manage a decentralized organization.
