1. Preferred Topics for Communities
Communities can now define some Preferred Topics that will help users to better classify their posts and discover easily the type of content they are looking for.
To enable this some additional details needs to be stored in the community owner account, and this can be done directly using the Community Settings panel:
As soon as this setting is updated the change will be visible in the community feeds:
And also suggested to users that are writing a post for that specific community:
2. Communities Chat Channels
Also with this release BeeChat is integrated with Hive communities. This replace the previous chat system based on Discord (and now deprecated).
You can enable the new chat in the Community Settings:
And this will enable a new tab in the community:
3. Subscribe to Chat Channels
Related to the above feature you can now 'subscribe' to a chat channel using this button:
This will add the community chat to your usual chat page:
3b. Disable BeeChat for some account
Not strictly related to the above change, but now it's possible to disable BeeChat for some accounts. This is useful when you switch between different accounts often and you want to avoid the Hive Keychain prompt required for the signin.
4. Reddit embeds
This is a pretty straightforward addition, Reddit links can now be embedded easily into your posts and rendered accordingly :)
Both links and iframes are supported.
5. Allow to remove a 'reblog'
Thanks to a change implemented in Hivemind by the @blocktrades team it's now possible to remove a reblog.
6. Some minor improvements and bug fixes
