Great God , it's this generation that you have loved
Your love for years revealed your strength as our Lord
They've heard for years that none of yours can be lost
Oh Lord! Guide all that seek your love
Oh Lord, it's your children that they have mocked
They've said the just would soon be one they would mock
And now with guts they say to is that we are mobs
Great God! Rise now for us with your sword
Rise Lord! It's your people that they have crossed
How can these ones just belittle is with their corps?
The world would now rejoice that we've been cursed
Oh Lord! Fight it for us with the cross
Fight Lord, these Egyptians that have been their thugs
Has Scripture not taught that God alone is on throne?
Who has not seen your strength prevail might have been told
Oh Lord! Cast them away with their thugs
Spike, Lord, Let all see that you're with us
When else would men learn from what you have done?
The time is up; men that hurt must be gone
Oh Lord! Spike them for thou alone art with us.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND
Could it be a prayer? It's from a heart that had been grieved and wounded. This grieved heart having suffered several accusations had been left to decay but God's inspiration suddenly becomes a consolation. Have you not had an experience where people you thought were your brothers and sisters ( in the Lord) rose up against you for no reason, perhaps because of your uncompromising stand for God? These were those you expected would be with you and support you, yet they ganged up against you denying the glory of God in your life.
As a matter of fact, if David had not killed Goliath they would not known that there's a God in Israel who lives forever. Rest assured that the battle is not yours ; the God of Zion shall fight for you. Amen...
