Musing Royalty

Purple. The color of royalty. I'm not royalty but I once was fascinated by studying royals and queens. It didn't occur to me that I'd ever be a royal, but it would be fun to be a princess. I wasn't raised with kid gloves. I ran barefoot in the summer and caught snakes and frogs. Fun was playing in the creek or riding borrowed ponies.

I often wondered what the rich and famous felt like. I can't imagine how it feels to have more than "enough". So few wealthy will bother to lift a poor man up. The more wealthy some people become, the cheaper life becomes (other life*). The sheer power of it must be a heady thing to experience.

Somehow we all die naked; at least the soul is.

You have to believe in one (soul) to follow along on this piece, but I believe in souls. What do I mean by souls? That means when I die I'm retiring this body. I retain my soul. Some call the soul your essence. That's the part of us that lives forever. Good riddence! My body has been less than satisfactory with functions for some time.

The best is yet to come.

Never forget where you came from, or who helped you get here, and never cease to be grateful for the good in your life. Time passes swiftly. I understand how fleeting some of the best days of our lives will be.

Drink in every blessed moment like you've been to the desert for weeks. Drink and don't quit because you need this. Trust me, you do.

Thinking again about purple, and royalty and yes, I suppose that you can call me royal; because I'm told that I am the daughter of a King.
