The insider knows all about it

I don't like my children to be brainwashed.

Not by the government who uses media and schools to force opinions upon the throat.

It's hard to avoid being brainwashed even without watching tv and listening to the radio.
The Spar supermarket tells us to buy what is close to the expiry date. They use the "no waste" reason but the reality is they have a poor purchasing policy and want to force us to buy the expensive A-brands hardly anyone can afford. They do not order cheaper brands these shelves remain empty.

Already as a child, I saw the real reason behind what was said.
I am happy my children do not buy all the nonsense told and know those insiders are rarely insiders.
Will I buy what is close to the expiry date? Only if it looks and smells great and they give me a discount on the price.
I have no fridge, no freezer. and Spar's prices are higher than in other supermarkets. The quality is not better and a few times I bought food that was clearly expired and even sold with mold on it!. Besides these facts, I am not shopping daily. Before I did once a month, now I have a look at the shop once or twice a week to check what's on sale.
I need to store my food over a longer time so I will not buy Spar's expired food.

Teacher share all kinds of unfounded information too.
The bus-kid's school gave the pupils a letter which described how to act if you've been in China or met a Chinese (who were there). You have to visit the doctor first. Great, spread the virus or catch a few at the doctor's office or in the waiting room. Cough and bark around with the rest. Next, you need to ask for a test and stay home for two weeks.
Isn't it more logical to stay home first till you feel better instead of infecting others? Isn't this something we all should do if we don't feel well, caught the flu, just to avoid a plague?

My youngest's teacher checked the internet to find information about the Coronavirus.
Sure if it comes to "great" info, the reality, the internet is the place to be.

According to her it's no problem to buy from Chinese or shop online (Alibaba, Aliexpress, Wish and the rest) because the virus will be dead after one-week (if your parcel is still in quarantine at the post office you can pick it up now. The whole disinfection thing is a waste of money, the tax you pay) and
those people who died were old and would have died anyway (falling down, the flu or high age...) so it's a big fuss about nothing.
But...
"You better not buy food, items during the Italian week at the Penny supermarket", the teacher warned the pupils. "Those products can be here within a day!".

Wanna bet the products promoted during the Italian week are not imported from Italy at all? It probably is made in Germany, the Netherlands or some Eastern European country.
But the teacher and the internet already started the smear campaign against Italy.
I think I'll join the Italian week and we have spaghetti for dinner with tomatoes and olives. A bit warmth of South Europe we can use during those cold, windy winter days.
