They believe in absurdity because they deep down know that it is more useful than the truth...
I waited for her response but she just stared at me and didn't say a word just emptied her glass of water.
There's nothing you can do about it, I yelled at her as she left and carefully closed the door behind her. I knew what she was capable of and it would be wiser not to interfere. She asked for my opinion and I gave her what she wanted.
You can only do your best but in the end, if it comes to it there's always someone who's stronger, smarter as you are. You cannot save them if they refuse to see what's going on.
It was a long day and no one could stop me from taking a long night. I switched off the light and my phone and fall asleep.
You know what to do... he hissed into the guy's ear. The man groaned as the baseball bat hit his knee. He knew they wouldn't give up before he would give in but that was something he couldn't. It was clear to him they didn't know what they were talking about and didn't care about what they pretend to care for most.
Well, what is your answer?
The bat landed on his back after each word spoken.
What was his answer? The only thing he could think of was keeping them safe, out of the hands of those brainwashed psychopaths. The bat kept landing on the man's back, his head. The sound of it echoed in his head. His body felt warm.
Slowly the road colored red. They would never know if he knew what to do because the man never answered.
It was as if the spell was broken as the phone started ringing.
He recognized the number wasn't in the mood talking to her. What did she know, she wasn't his mother? She always made him feel like the bad guy because he hadn't finished school.
Let's open those cages, he said and wiped off the bat at his trousers. He would deal with her later, after the links had their freedom back.
