A common enemy

We have a common enemy and that enemy pretty much has one tactic: lie about everything.

Some lies are outright and bald-faced. Some lies are mostly true with a little deception thrown in.

The thing about lies is that, for some reason, people tend to believe them more than the truth - even when the lies are outlandish.

I think that part of the reason is because people are extremely lazy and don't want to check things out for themselves. Another reason is that people want to believe bad things about other people and situations. It makes them feel better about themselves. It makes them feel as if they have the moral high ground.

Who is the enemy? The media for one. If they can keep us divided, we will never unite.

But what do I know? I'm just an observer.
