Se había dicho que en un pueblo lejano vivía un anciano, en una casa lejos de la ciudad, el cual tenía una gema escondida que era el más preciado tesoro, cuando alguien iba a visitarle tenía la respuesta a cualquier problema. Decían que toda esta sabiduría provenía de aquella gema, la misma tenía poderes especiales.
Un día un muchacho de la ciudad fue a visitarle porque tenía un gran problema, decían que aquel muchacho aunque era un gran deportista no se veía así y siempre que competía con otros, tenía temor y le costaba conseguir el primer lugar. Así que decidió emprender aquel largo viaje hacia la montaña donde vivía el anciano para ver si podían descifrar aquel enigma.
Camino a la casa del anciano, se suscitó una gran tormenta, mientras esperaba bajo un gran árbol, una gran luz de un relámpago lo iluminó y el dijo: este árbol podría caerse, entonces siguió caminando bajo la lluvia.
De camino, encontró al anciano tirado en el suelo, el muchacho muy asustado se acercó y le dijo: Abuelo que haces acá?? Que te pasó? Lo tomó en sus hombros, y lo llevó hasta su casa, el abuelo le contó que no tenía que comer y bajó a la ciudad en busca de pan, cuando venía de regreso a casa de pronto una fiera salió a mi encuentro y pensé que me atacaria corri, corrí tanto como pude hasta desvanecerme, y me desmayé, creo que comenzó a llover... gracias a Dios llegaste tú .
El muchacho llevó al anciano hasta su casa en sus hombros y luego el joven le contó al abuelo porque estaba allí, mientras contaba su historia Compartieron unos pedazos de pan con café.
Y el abuelo dijo: Ah, vienes por la gema mágica? Ya la buscaré... la buscó y la colocó en la mano del muchacho y le dice que ves en ella?, le contestó el muchacho: es una piedra muy hermosa, refulgente, e imagino de gran valor.
Bueno, asintió el anciano con su cabeza, tú le encontraste las cualidades a esa piedra preciosa y viniste a este lugar para descubrir tu propio valor. He visto en ti, valentía para caminar bajo una tempestad, valor para afrontar las dificultades, fuerza tanto espiritual como física para cargarme en tus brazos y mucho amor para hacer lo que hiciste por mi. Aplica todo eso en tu ser interior, cree en Dios y en ti y verás que siempre serás un ganador.

It had been said that in a distant village there lived an old man, in a house far from the city, who had a hidden gem that was the most precious treasure, when someone went to visit him he had the answer to any problem. They said that all this wisdom came from that gem, it had special powers.
One day a boy from the city went to visit him because he had a big problem, they said that although he was a great athlete, he did not look like that and whenever he competed with others, he was afraid and it was difficult for him to get the first place. So he decided to undertake that long journey to the mountain where the old man lived to see if they could decipher that enigma.
On the way to the old man's house, there was a big storm, while he was waiting under a big tree, a big lightning flash illuminated him and he said: this tree could fall down, so he kept on walking under the rain.
On his way, he found the old man lying on the ground, the frightened boy approached him and said: "Grandfather, what are you doing here? What happened to you?
