Everything was set for a special dining event for Esther and her friends. They heard of an interesting dining experience called "Dining in the dark".

What could this be? Well, I'll tell you.

People often say that if you deprive one sense of stimulus your others become heightened. This is going to be put into practice tonight. The chef and wait staff are all blind. They already know how to navigate our complicated world and are the perfect choice to allow this experience to be fully realized.

The entire restaurant is pitch black and you cannot see your hand in front of your face. You'd think they would have plenty of accidents with people walking into the walls or each other all the time. Surprisingly this isn't the case. You might see the patrons walking with arms outstretched so you'll need to be aware of this.

The troupe arrived and were guided to their tables to commence the experience. First, the wine was poured and they were told to use slow and gentle movements when drinking or eating. You'd think they'd all need sippy cups but not a single spill happened.

The appetizers came, the main course and finally dessert. Each course was better than the next with a new sensation. Texture and smell played a large role that they've never really noticed to this degree before.

As they left back into the brightly lit world their eyes needed to adjust for a moment. They've now witnessed a small glimpse of how a blind person must feel while at the same time having an experience of a lifetime.

Highly recommended!
