Candidate - 5 Minute Freewrite

Running for a local government position is something new for Josh. He's always been involved within his community and wants to be able to enact real change. His platform revolves around responsible government and the environment.

Josh is what most would consider a person with his head screwed on properly and the local constituents have started to take notice. As part of his campaign process he's decided to host an impromptu town-hall meeting where he's made himself available to answer any and all questions.

He wasn't prepared for the amazing turnout. Josh knew there are many people out there wanting to enact change from the grass roots level and he was proven right. The issue was with the overwhelming turnout. There must have been several hundred people show up from the town. This is a great turnout but a little overwhelming too.

There were so many people, Josh had to pull out a nearby megaphone. He brought it just in case something like this would happen. Thankfully he did and it was used this to speak to the crowd. Smart thinking Josh, I believe you're the right candidate for the job.
