A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words

Aladdin, a boy of 12 is on a transit to his hometown. It's been 10 years since he last visited home, he sat beside the window, his head resting on his arms pondering about all that he left behind, his friends, little dog, and grandma. It was raining outside and the weather was covered with fog. He peeped through the window with droplets of rain on the glass. He looked gloomy, nothing seemed to excite him, not after he was going to start a new life away from people who he was acquainted with.

The grasses, and mountains looked blurry as he watched them with detached attention. It was 7 hours into the journey, he couldn't sleep as the noise grew louder. He continued to stir outside as they entered another city.

"We're in Malawi park" the driver announced. Aladdin was already tired of the driver's frequent announcement each time they entered a new town, he wanted to get home.

Your mum misses you, she now has a baby girl, it means you have a little sister now Aladdin reminisced on what his grandma had told him two days before his journey. A part of him was sad that he was going away from his friends, but the other part of him was happy to meet his little sister. Does she look like me?How old is she now? Will I be able to carry her? What does she look like? A lot of questions kept popping his head, he couldn't wait to reach home and meet her.

"Where are we now?" He asked, "Is Bawali still far from here?"

"We still have like 30km to Bawali, we should be there in 30 minutes" the driver answered. Aladdin's face lightened up, at least he was closer to his destination.

This is a picture prompt story. In this story, I answered the question, what did I see?, what I felt?, and narrated them in a story
