A picture is worth a Thousand words: Colourful Autumn leaves

The winter makes us fall asleep for too long. But, when a small ray of light peeped into the room I was forced to wake up from the warmth of my blanket. Though it was cloudy, I never felt like sleeping in the early hours.

With a hot cup of tea in hand, I went to the backyard, to sit along the steps, my usual place, where I enjoy the beauty of nature. The huge trees, the chirping of birds, the fall of leaves, the colourful flowers were all part of my happiness which makes my day even more happy.

My back yard has four steps downwards followed by a small river. So this particular day, I couldn't sit near the steps as it was almost covered with water and this time it amounted to more fall of leaves, flowing and settling down towards the steps.

But this added more beauty to the river. The colourful leaves of different size and shapes were flowing along with the water, as though dancing to the tunes of the waves. They were fresh as it happens to be in trees. And the water was crystal clear, no doubt, one would like to just dip their feet in the water.

I just stepped into the cold water and it just send immediate shivers all over my body, for a second. But immediately after that I realized the warmth, when stepping into the cold water . I could see and feel the leaves dancing all over my feet. A warm touch and then drifted away far off.
I didnot want to step down further as I felt the steps to be slippery.

This is purely a work of fiction which I felt like narrating, from what I saw and felt - from my point of view. Thankyou for your time. This was a wonderful prompt which made me think to narrate something in writing.
