Mariannewest's dailyprompt : Not as free as you thought

It was not that Faryal didn't cherish the quiet of country town that she had grown up in, but she thought that the overly-crowded city would liberate her from the constraints of her conservative upbringing. The city was where she enjoyed a new chapter in her life - gaining new friends, living till late, ceaseless chances, and everything in between. she was brushing all her emotions away, but deep inside, she could feel the knot growing inside her every moment, either from others or herself. The temptation to fit into some well-defined stereotype, to put up with "any cost" made her feel depraviated. In her pursuit of freedom, she had overlooked the true essence of liberation: but still standing up to the real self, without caring much for the external influences.
