A pic is worth a thousand words/Doubting Thomas

I see a mushroom.
I feel hungry remembering how tasty and chewy the edibles ones are.

Bayo and his friends have been wandering through the forest for hours on end without finding the priced mushrooms their biology teacher Mr Dauda asked them to bring. They had been moving through the parts of the forest where there seems to be a lot of decayed tree branches and dead leaves but it looks as if the mushrooms have got wind of the search earlier on and have decided not to sprout.
"Do we need to go underground before we find this mushroom?" Jide asked. "Because it seems they have vowed not to show over the surface today".
" Lets keep searching, we may get lucky", Bayo said.
"Oh! Now its luck? We are depending on luck? I thought you said there are a lot of them laying around in this particular forest?" Thomas asked sarcastically.
"I remember what I said and I was not lying. Don't just know why we can't find any today", Bayo replied.
Thomas chuckled.
Mushrooms do get security intels as to potential raids coming their ways because it seems that is what you are trying to tell us", Thomas pressed on.
Bayo ignored him and kept on turning clumps of leaves over with his long stick.
"I have a reason for saying this forest is as barren as a desert is dry but the 'Judge of the Jungle" thinks he is 'George of the Jungle!' Thomas kept up the assault.
Jide knew the atmosphere has become tensed and if nothing is down to check Thomas onslaught, the two boys will soon come to blows. He knew Bayo rarely talked when be harassed this way but will use his fist if he wants to reply.
"Thomas its okay. If we can't find it today, tomorrow we will check other surrounding forests, okay?" Jide pleaded.
"I have no problem with that but let Bayo know he is not the 'Lord of the forest' the way he thinks!" Thomas fired on.
"I don't blame you! You are a human mascot for birth control. If your parents had gone for birth control advice, the world would have been saved the stress of one more moro!" Bayo barked out. "Jide, please come over here!" Bayo hailed.
Jide made his way over a fallen tree log and stood just behind Bayo. Bayo used his stick to clear away some dried leaves just in front of him and the red top and milky stalk of a mushroom came into view.
"Wow! We found it! Jide shouted. " I told you Thomas! Try having patience!" Jide said as hopped around, happily.
"What do you expect from him in the first place Jide? Or have you not read about his predecessor in the bible? Unbeliever!" Bayo said heatedly.
