Describe what you see
A boy in his own world that has formed a protective barrier around himself to shield him from the dark world.

Describe what you feel
I feel like he has been bullied severally and he has retreated to his own small world to dream and be happy.

He ran as fast as his legs could take him. He had no destination in mind and it didn't matter, he just kept running. He just needed to escape his own world. Till he exited all the blocks in the estate and entered the bushy footpath that led to the basket ball pitch did he stop running.

He was out of breath and had collapsed on the floor weeping like a teenage girl.

"What did I do to them!" He screamed out loud.

Jojo, a normal teenage kid who is bulled for just anything in his father's house had just reached his limit.

This afternoon, he had gone to get himself a plate of food to eat since he had no breakfast because he was being punished for something he didn't do from yesterday. Just as he settled to eat his delicious looking plate of jollof rice with chicken, he felt a resounding spank at the back of his head which sent his plate of food flying to the floor with a shattering sound from the ceramic plate breaking into pieces.

"Who said you could eat just yet?" Asked his wicked father's wife.

Jojo was dumbfounded as always. There were a lot he wanted to say to this woman. He has had it to this poit, he needed to talk.

All the while, he stood with his head down looking at the food he could have been devouring to quench his burning hunger. He raised his head to meet her eyes with a hard and killer look that conveyed half the message he wanted to speak.

He opened his mouth to say his mind but was greeted with a resounding slap from a hand that could only be his dad. He was in a shock. That moment all he could do was run. And he did.

His tears had dried out now. As he kept his head on this knee which was propped up and held firm by his hand while sitting on the floor, he closed his eyes and began to dream again. This time a darker one.

He wanted to be alone and so in his own world he made that happen.
