This is my post for #freewriters 2246 prompt supernatural conference hosted by @mariannewest.
The kids who lived at the campground set up an old tent under a tree the tent had small holes in the roof. It seemed like an odd place to put a tent, but they were kids so who knows why they do things. The kids knew why, that was who.
'
They waited until dark and went to the other campsites to find which kids were allowed to come play with "us", I mean them. With several other kids with them, they all ran back to the tent and asked the other kids if they wanted to have a supernatural conference, aka, seance, they all wanted to have one.
Inside the tent, one girl lit a candle, the others could see bones scattered on the floor, ratty clothes were thrown around, and some kind of ghosty-looking thing in the corner with a coconut for a head. when everyone was in the tent they held hands around a candle that was lit and sitting on the floor next to a girl started talking jibberish. Bones started to rise. One girl screamed and ran out another started to run but ran into the fishing line that went through one of the holes. She yanked on the line and the boy in the tree yelled because the other end of the fishing line was wrapped around his finger.
They all had a good laugh that their plan worked, it was to scare the campers and they did scare one person. That was until their Dad showed up with the girl's parents and her in tow.
They had to take the tent down and that was the last time "we" I mean they, saw that tent, but every once in a while someone would throw one away and if the kids saw it before their Dad, it was theirs.
