It was now 25 years after mama ubong had escaped through the night with her twins child umem, to the neighboring village. Ekente village, was known for it notorious killing of twins, believing they are evil spirit that needed to be exterminated. That was the same village where mama ubong had given birth to twins. Which she successfully escaped with one of the child to another village.
25 years latter, Ekente village was plague with an attach of locust in their farms. Even before any plant could grow, the locust have eaten them up. The people of the village were already foreseeing hunger and famine, as they know no remedy to what was happening to to them.
The information got to umem, the twins child, through his mother the happening in the village. Umem had studies agriculture in the university. He knew the exact chemicals to use that will kill and drive the locust away. But first, he needed to return to his village not as a stranger, but as a twins From the village who have solution to their problem.
His mom narrated the story of her twins child to the king and also pass his request to him, coupled with video clips of how the chemical was killing and driving the locust away.
The king and his cabinet had no option, but accept his request. And the law of killing twins was abolished.
