One day, on her way back from work, she saw a crowd of people bullying a stray dog. She immediately stopped the car, approached them and found out even the worst. These people have succeeded in chaining the dog to a tree and began using it as a scale goat all for fun.
She made them stop, went closer to the chained dog who doesn't seem friendly at all. Immediately she tried to untie the dog and set it free, the dog lunged at her and bit her hand. The crowd all laughed but even with the dog bit, Kathy managed to set it free which left all the crowd running for safety as the dog targeted one of the groups and began chasing him. Kathy entered her car and drove off.

It was her first experience as other dogs she has been coming in contact with are friendly and have not bit her before. She began feeling strange due to the symptoms so she decided to visit the hospital. The doctor told her it wasn't a dog scratch but a bite and the dog had rabies which needed her to be treated immediately.
She called her organization and informed them about her situation. They visited her at the hospital and volunteered to pay her hospital bills. She was grateful to have such kind people.
After her discharge, she went in search of the dog but it was nowhere to be found. Her experience with the dog made her think lots of things but that didn't stop her loving animals.
