Day 2017: 5 Minute Freewrite: Monday - Prompt: not surprising

Procrastination had been an inbuilt character in John's life. His boss found it not surprising when he was the reason his team failed to complete the task given to their group for the company's growth.

With a stern face, his boss questioned his reasons for the failure as the group representative. With no tangible reason in mind, he kept mute which was a serious offense as that silence may earn him a sack letter.

His team members stepped in to help as they claimed to have contributed to the unsuccessful turn out of their assignment. John was grateful to his team members and regretted his actions and promised himself never to be noted as a procrastinator ever again.

As a way of punishing the group, the boss gave them twice the assignment with just a week to accomplish. John appreciated his colleagues and with unity and friendship yet remaining professional, they worked hard and completed the assignments before the deadline with team work and proper time management.
