Mama Gee carried the rattan basket of dry leaves and flowers, and slowly walked into her kitchen. She placed the basket on the little marble table by the wall and sat on her favourite wooden stool. The stool designed and hand crafted by her husband's very own stubby hands. Her loving husband.

She remembered the days when Papa Dee, parked himself in his makeshift workshop, which was just an area outside the kitchen. "I will make you the best stool", he said very simply. He would stand by the side of his table from morning after breakfast until dinner time, carefully carving the wood pieces. He knew she liked flowers and he made sure the stool had flower carvings all around the legs.

Mama Gee could still remember him stealing quick glances at her, as he worked the sturdy stool for her. She on the other hand, would be sorting the dry leaves and flowers, running them through tap water, preparing them to be boiled into fragrant and refreshing herbal tea for him and the children.

Everyday, Mama Gee would make her grandmother's tea concoction, handed down from a few generations before. The herbal tea has all the healing properties to cool down a heaty body, infused with the sweetness from red dates and goji berries.

Somehow today, her mind wandered off to Papa Dee, who has left her two years ago. Time flies but she still missed him dearly.
