Clara had never been fortunate. She frowned at the slices of bread and butter on the kitchen table. She could eat those for the next two days and then what?
Her efforts to get a job had proved futile. Her savings account was almost maxed out. She buttered a slice and munched slowly, contemplating the way forward when she received a text, saying to report at a certain address for a job.
In excitement, Clara dressed up and went. Arriving at an empty building, she walked in and was quickly surrounded by thugs who took the cash she had left.
