Abandoned by all, the old lady needed a private nurse to keep her safe, not as though she was truly abandoned, but everyone just seemed to be too busy with new jobs and family to shoulder the burden of bringing in an old feeble woman into play.
The best idea was to hand her over to a private nurse whose job is to look after her and ensure she's given all the care, attention and love she could ever need in an old age.
She never saw the need for a nurse though even upon knowing her current state, she felt her children should be able to meet these needs, remembering how she was there for all of them when they were also feeble.
