My ZAPFIC50 below is a short story told in exactly 50 words. It was created by @felt.buzz who's off campus at the moment. I loved this challenge and participated each week, so I decided to continue to prepare content for it whenever the opportunity arises.

This microfiction story is about the approaching tropical storm that hasn't yet been named. It's crossing the Bay of Campeche into the Gulf of Mexico. The path is forecasted to head in my direction. It's still a bit unorganized. I doubt it will rise to the level of a hurricane. However, even tropical storms can be deadly and cause major damage. You can never let your guard down because of the potential for severe flooding, depending on which side of the storm you reside.

I can't stop it.
I can't re-direct it.
All I can do is wait for arrival if I shelter in place;
or get out of its way by evacuating.
Either way, something wicked this way comes.
And, there's little else to do except PRAY.
