Para participar en el llamado de Club de Poesía, promocionado por @freewritehouse (ver aquí), a propósito del lenguaje y sus disformes presentaciones, en juego intertextual con 1984 de Orwell y Un mundo feliz de Huxley.
To participate in the call for Club de Poesía, promoted by @freewritehouse (see here), apropos of language and its disformed presentations, in intertextual play with Orwell's 1984 and Huxley's A Brave New World..
En la pantalla, la mirada perseguidora. La voz del omnipresente arengaba
en la neolengua, retumbante en su cerebro: "La guerra es la nueva paz".
Incomprensible palabrería. Había renunciado a toda posible manipulación y engaño. La fraseología de ese poder hegemónico lo devolvía a la oscuridad de sus pesadillas.
También condenaba a la lengua escuchada y la maldecía en sus adentros. Un mundo feliz no podía ser aquella envilecida gente llenando las calles con su miseria, edulcorada por un lenguaje fatuo.
Solo el silencio de la noche, en el escondite de su conciencia, lo resarcía del agravio.
On the screen, the persecuting gaze. The voice of the omnipresent one harangued
in the neo-language, rumbling in his brain: "War is the new peace".
Incomprehensible verbiage. He had renounced all possible manipulation and deception. The phraseology of that hegemonic power returned him to the darkness of his nightmares.
He also condemned the language he listened to and cursed it in his heart. A happy world could not be that debased people filling the streets with their misery, sweetened by a fatuous language.
Only the silence of the night, in the hiding place of his conscience, rescued him from the aggravation.
