Negocio futuro. [ESP/ENG]

He had always been a jovial man, very polite and kind to people, he did not use to spend whole days in a taciturn way, as in the previous ones to this moment, they needed his laughter and forceful voice, without which the house seemed empty.

Without knowing it, this house was the cause of his unhappiness because Manuel had inherited it from his parents, who in turn had inherited it from his grandfather. He never had a day in his life in which he had doubts about his economic capacity, therefore he was a little philanthropist and liked to help by investing in business acquaintances, which had led him to gain an important fame in his community.

Unfortunately, among all those people who esteemed the fortunate entrepreneur could not miss people with bad intentions, so when he arrived in town, a well-known swindler by the name of Mateo, there was no shortage of people who pointed out Manuel as the most obvious target for a scam.

It turns out that Mateo armed himself with a number of people and started with a marketing strategy, but for one person, for months they made the people of the town see that he had a revolutionary way of predicting stock market shares, and with a system that he called the Business of the Future.

Manuel was not so convinced so he decided to wait cautiously, as the months went by several people approached him mentioning the importance of the business and as it was yielding dividends to everyone, tempted he began to provide loans to people interested in that prosperous business, who punctually for months, provided him with their payments, leaving them with dividends.

This ended up convincing Manuel, who in a meeting was convinced to be the main investor of that brand, for which he even mortgaged his house, "He who does not risk does not win" he told his wife when she reproached him about it. The man thought that this company was going to be a historical brand as the biggest benefactor of the community, and providing a business for them with such a good return would fulfill his dream.

What the man did not know was that all those movements that managed to convince him of such an enterprise, were nothing more than a pyramid, which could not be maintained much longer than the time they were performing the ruse, those involved soon left town, swindling everyone, but no one involved their heritage as the good Manuel.

The daughters retired to their room, but not before trying without luck to cheer up their dejected father, who locked himself in his office. A dry sound was the last they heard from their father and his safe business....
